I love the new Benefit brow collection! It came with an informative book with all the details on different types of brows and which products to use when. I know brows get a little complicated because there's so many different types: gels, pomades, pencils, powders, etc. Benefit helps you jump a few steps forward! See below for descriptions, photos and how-to use tips!
How adorable are these pop-up pages?!
Loved the interactive pages that give you a before/after images!
Here's another before/after page that flips back and forth to show how much eyebrows can change your face!
Their BrowZings come with a pomade & a powder to set it in along with a tweezer, pomade brush and the brow powder brush, small enough to fit in your purse! Pomades are ideal for LONG LASTING brow definition. Pencils are great, but they do melt off, especially if you do not have strong eyebrows to begin with. You can use this product in two ways. 1. Outline your brows with the pomade and slightly brush through your brows to color in a little bit and go over it with the powder to hold the pomade in place and to soften the look (which I usually do). 2. Use the pomade just to extend the ends of your eyebrows or define just underneath your brows for definition and use the powder to fill in the rest of your brows (if they are already full).
There's not a million shades in this collection. HOWEVER, the product actually changes tone on your skin! You will see in the tutorial below how the medium shade looks so red on the skin. Oddly enough, my model I'm working on is a natural "Ginger"! Swiping across my hand, it was neutral, swiping it across her hand, turned red. It's simply amazing.
Brow-Volumizing Fiber Gel
Brow-Volumizing Fiber Gel comes in 2 shades, which makes picking your color a lot LESS complicated. They are very sheer so they will not change the color of your eyebrows but in fact, just enhance them. If you are on the lighter side and your eyebrows are dark, use the light/medium to brighten them up a bit. If your hair is on the darker side and your eyebrows are light, brush on the medium/dark to enhance and deepen the shade of your eyebrows. If you have a full set of brows, you won't need anything else but this! But you may also use on top of the browzingers as well, if you need to fill them in.
There's several ways you can use this brow lifting pencil. This one in particular has a hint of pink so its ideal for light/medium skin tones. Yellower shades are best for darker shades because they are closer to the skin tone. Take the pencil and get as close to your brows (from the bottom) as much as possible. Make a clean stripe underneath the arch pulling outward. Use a brush or your finger to blend downward so you don't actually see a stripe! You can also use this pencil near your tear duct to brighten up and open your eyes! It looks naturally lit without the shimmer.
Here is a quick tutorial I did on my girl Anna who has naturally great eyebrows but just a bit sparse. It's amazing how the "medium" palette picked up the red in her skin (she's naturally a ginger!) This collection looked amazing on her brows! Check out the last clip of the left eyebrow (undone) and the right brow (done).
