Hello Blogees! Hope you all had an amazing weekend. Mine was filled with work and exciting events! This year was the first year that they did the PhameXpo show. It is a huge beauty convention similar to IMATS, held at the Pasadena Convention Center. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it Saturday and missed meeting a lot of people :( BUT, Sunday was amazing. I love events like these because we get to meet some of our favorite artists from Instagram which we love and follow but have never actually met. I got to meet and greet with some of my favs in the industry: BeauybyMeganNaik, AlanaDawn, PalaFoxxia, MakeupbySharona, Makeup_by_Jackie, Glam_Trash_Mua, AmyRittiner, Kalognomos, just to name a few. We are all friends and fans of each other on the social media channels and admire and inspire each other but meeting them in person was a whole different experience. As an artist, you are never "the best", we are all amazing in what we do in the WAY we do it. And together, we are even a stronger team. (In ANY career you are in, I believe this to be true). Anywho, I didn't go too crazy with the shopping (at least I tried not to) but I did get a few items that really caught my eye and I really wanted! I've posted my buys below!
As posted on Instagram, LimeCrime came out with their new lipstick in "Babette". As you all know, I am already a huge fan of her lipsticks, especially in Cosmopop and Coquette. They refer to Babette as the cousin to Coquette. So basically, it is similar just a little more pinker and its beautiful! You'll see it on my clients posts soon. This lipstick will be available July 12 at Naimies.
The London Brush Company: Brush Shampoo - This product caught my eye because there are not a lot of solid brush shampoos available (there aren't a lot of brush shampoos, period). And in this case, it is made with natural ingredients. I picked up the Lemon; but there was unscented and one other one I can't remember (sorry!) I have included the info right off their website at www.LondonBrushCompany.com. The info is very informative as it teaches you about cleaning brushes and sanitation!
"Pure Goat Milk and Essential Oil Brush Shampoo 2oz
Our Brush Shampoo is the envy of many brands. Made from a secret recipe, by hand in California from combined vegetable oils, saponified goat milk and essential oil with a touch of tea tree as an anti bacterial, Brush Shampoo cleans and conditions your makeup brushes without chemicals. And because it has no chemical compound and is a solid in a pot, it makes it safe and easy to travel with too.
Cleaning brushes has never been easier, and it's just as well because you MUST keep those brushes clean. Cleaning them 2 - 3 times a week is very important to prevent bacterial build up. Your face sheds around 9 million dead skin cells each day, and a percentage of those embed in your makeup brushes. Combine that with drying makeup and there is a recipe for bacterial growth which can lead to skin irritation.. So ladies, CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES.. it only takes 5 minutes or less!
2oz of Brush Shampoo cleaning around 6 brushes 3 times a week will last you 5-6 months."
OCC Lip Tars: New colors to my collection! I love this stuff! I collect a lot of stains because my clients need long wear colors that they don't need to retouch! I fell in love with this bright red coral called "Harlot" because I can never have enough bright colors in my kit. I also picked up "Interlace" and "Hush" , which are beautiful neutral colors. There aren't that many neutral lips stains out there, most have color so I was excited to pick these up. If you are anything like me and you hate retouching your lips, you gotta grab one of these babies, they come in so many different lip shades. And seriously, the tinniest amount goes a long long way...so worth the penny! You can get these from Sephora. I will post looks for them soon!
