I got introduced to Jouer not that long ago to be honest. I did go to this exclusive event a year ago where I came across this brand I had never heard of. I took a couple items home and seriously fell in love. It was a body butter, a lip gloss and cream cheek color. I had no idea where to find this brand later. I ended up going into the Frends Beauty Supply store in Sherman Oaks around Christmas time and found the associates put in a little "gift" for me. Long behold...it's Jouer! It was the cutest little gift. Along with a couple decent sized sample items, there was some heart earrings, wish bone bracelet and a few dainty rings. You know I am a sucker for gifts! :)
Teni Panossian ended up inviting me as a guest to the Jouer residence and I finally met the beauty and brains behind the brand, Chritsine. For me...WHO the brand is and what they represent, is just as important as WHAT the brand is. So Jouer...I love you. Now that you got the history down...let's get into the actual products! :)
These creme eyeshadows and highlighters are simply beautiful. One of my favorite creme colors for the eyes is Cashmere (not shown in the picture). I have done a couple looks in the past on my instagram. They're sheer and add a beautiful glow to the eyes or the cheeks. Use a stippling brush or your fingers to apply the highlighters on the high points of your cheeks. If you do use it on the eyes, they will crease a little bit if you put too much, so I like to use it as a "base" to a similar poppy shadow I will put on top.
Peony looks very bright! But if you use just the right amount with a fluffy brush, it actually just gives a nice hint of color. Great thing about pigmented blush is it will last you forever! Honeysuckle and Poppy are actually creme cheek colors. When using a creme cheek color, make sure you blend it onto your cheeks (preferably with a stippling brush) and before you set it in with powder! Once you have your makeup set in with powder...do not go back in with a creme blush! It will become a mess.
I have a couple glosses from Jouer but this one in particular is my favorite! It does not even do justice in the photo. Use a deep nude liner (such as MAC Stripdown or Ginger by Lise Watier), a nude lipstick (HotMakeup.US in Airi's Party or Choker by ColourPopCosmetics work beautifully) and just a hint of this all over the lip. It is SO beautiful. It doesn't look like glitter but it really creates a nice dimension to your lips. Love love.
The Illuminating Liquid Highlighter is another favorite of mine. For 2 reasons: The tone is perfect. It is not too white, too pink, too gold...it's very neutral and will look good on most skin tones! Another reason is the consistency. It is not thick or heavy and will not move your makeup when blending on top of your makeup. It spreads thin but dries without moving around! For those of you who love the "glow"...this product is for you! See swatch below.

Anytime I use a dark or bright color on the lid, I will always put a comparable creme base first! Renaissance is my favorite because I love neutral tones on the eyes but Abstract is beautiful for a nice smokey eye. A little bit does go along with. Add a couple stripes on your lids and blend with a synthetic brush or your fingers. You can leave it as is or add a pop of shade on top! See swatches below.
