If you are following me on Snap, you had a sneak peak of all of the below already ;) For the rest of you, here is a rundown of the event and products from the Hourglass Event yesterday. I do my absolute best to make it to every event I am invited to; it's fun, it's makeup and I get to see my friends! Everyone is so busy with their lifestyle that we never get to hang out, out of work.
Hourglass has been one of my favorite brands for years! They truly have quality products and I don't think they've ever created something I don't love. Their ambient highlighters as you know are one of my favorites ever. The shade Brilliance is in my everyday bag and the trio set I use and abuse on my clients. It is so subtle and beautiful! But let's chat about their new launch: VanishFoundation.
Vanish is a stick foundation created to be used in every way from a concealer to a foundation or even contour. Usually, stick foundations scare me because they're generally thick AND because I have a very oily t-zone...it does not work for me. By surprise, the new Vanish foundation does actually that, VANISH as you blend it - crazy texture and technology. It covers great without the thick texture and blends so beautifully. Their color selection was amazing as well, so you know you will find a shade that works for you. I am in the shade sand.By the way, how chic is the packaging?
They also launched a brush that blends the foundation so beautifully! As you all know (and if you don't already, you should), the tools make all the difference in the world when applying makeup! This brush was created specifically to blend the Vanish foundation effortlessly into your skin. It feels like velvet! Around $45, but well worth it. After all, you are really going to buy it just one time and have it forever! Face brushes need to be quality...eyes? you can get away with even your fingers.
In the goodie bag we got, they also included these 1.5mm gel liners - in blue and brown. I don't know if these are new, but they're new to me. These gel liners are super creamy and smooth but not wet! It is also super thin so you can create a nice wing liner with it. AND it does not move! Unless you use a makeup remover, you can't get it off, so I thought that was great!
The event was fun, they had really cool virtual TV's we get to play around with and saw some of my friends in the industry. The space is beautiful and got to see my friends Patrick Starrr & Jadey Wadey!
