When you walk into a cosmetics store, the employees are always trying to sell you on products, convincing you that THEIR line is the best in all categories of makeup. So I recently walked into a Bloomingdale's and started browsing in the makeup department (as always) when a lady from Hourglass asked if I needed help and of course I responded with my usual "just browsing". I started playing around with the makeup until she continued..."have you tried our new primer??" I tell her that I have 5 different ones I use, I don't need another one. She insists on showing me the Hourglass primer saying its nothing like the rest. I let her continue about the product that its waterproof, minimizes the look of pores, keeps the makeup long-lasting, gives the foundation a flawless look and that it neutralizes the skintone. During this time, she is demonstrating the primer on the back of my hand. Usually, I do not fall for this because you cannot tell how a primer will look on your face, especially after a few hours by testing it on your hand. But as she is spreading it on the back of my hand, the texture and color of the primer was different. It is not silicone based but its not liquidy like makeupforever either. The color was white but spread on opal. She heavily added some foundation on my hand, powder and blush and let it set in for a few seconds. She then sprayed water on the back of my hand and the water just stayed on the top of my hand but didn't soak in. Then she took a napkin and soaked the water on my hand to show there was no makeup residue on the napkin. In conclusion, I was sold immediately. I have to say, it's a bit pricey but the payoff is so worth it and the smallest pump spreads all over the face! I have been using it for 2 weeks now on clients and myself and I have to say, I love it! Naturally, I got turned onto the line because of its quality. I recently purchased their Veil foundation and I LOVE it. I have oily skin and it doesn't turn my face into a mirror after hours and the foundation looks FLAWLESS. I have been using Chanel Matte Lumiere for a year now but I have to say, Hourglass is my newfound love <3. Hope this post was informational and helpful for you girls. I will try and blog more often...I have been horrible with it lately, sorry! :/
