What separates a makeup artist from a non-artist? The tricks makeup artists create, share & use that sets them apart. Below are simple techniques you can do yourself that make ALL the difference! Do you have a tip I didn't mention? Comment and share your thoughts!
1. Shadow as Liner
Create a soft liner with black eyeshadow against your lash line before you put on falsies! It'll conceal the strip and look super natural!
2. Conceal Your Liner
Yes, you heard right. Afraid of liner? Use some concealer with a flat brush and sweep underneath your wing liner for a clean sharp look.
3. Tight-Line Your Eyes
Want full lashes but a natural look? Use a black liner underneath your top lashes to darken your tight-line for a fuller lash effect.
4. Minimizing Pores
If you have big pores, a buffing brush will be your best friend. A buffing brush will blur out your pores and leave a smooth finish effect.
5. Eyes First
For a cleaner makeup look, do your eyes first then use a face wipe to clean out fall out. Continue face makeup.
6. Heated Lash Curler
Stinkin' straight lashes? Use a blow-drier to warm up the strip (just a little bit) before you curl your lashes. Curls better and holds them in place much longer!
7. Nude Liner to Contour Lips
Line right above your lip-line with a nude liner for a more pouty lip.
8. Custom Matte Lips
Turn any lipstick matte by holding a tissue over your lips and use a loose powder to pat on top.
9. Q-Tip & Mascara
Got mascara on your eyelids or even your nose? Wait until it dries complete and use a q-tip to flake it off!
10. Cleaning Up Brows
Use alcohol spray on your spooly brush and run across your brows to clean off excess powder for a cleaner finish.
